The Howard League for Penal Reform is an independent charity which receives no funding from the government and has no political affiliations.
We rely entirely on donations from trusts and generosity of our members and supporters. Your donation will enable us to:
- run vigorous public education campaigns on current penal issues such as children, suicides and alternatives to prison.
- provide a public information service for schools, students and the media
- provide support and advocacy for children in prison
- continue our international work as one of the first charities in the world to be granted consultative status with the United Nations and the Council of Europe.

Setting up a direct debit allows you to be more flexible, you can pay your membership fee monthly, quarterly or annually. Payment by this method also saves the Howard League time and money and allows us to plan ahead.
