Runner-up: Oldham YOS ETE Toolkit, Positive Steps Oldham
Positive Steps Oldham (PSO) delivers the Youth Offending Service, the Connexions Service and significant elements of the Targeted Youth Support Service including teenage pregnancy, substance misuse and positive activities for young people, effectively providing a ‘one-stop-shop’ for young offenders.
An ‘Interventions Toolkit’ is available to all young offenders working in Oldham Youth Offending Service and provides a wide range of provision available to support young offenders in order to progress positive outcomes. This sits alongside a model of practitioner based commissioning which enables case managers to design individual support to meet the assessed needs of individual young offenders.
The programme works with the co-operation of a wide range of partners, including educational and training providers, voluntary and community groups to individual tutors and coaches, to provide an effective, tailored programme to help the young person break the cycle of reoffending.
