“Pushing the Barriers: The Use of Restorative Justice with Hate Crimes”

The research focussed on the use of restorative justice with hate crimes and sought to identify best practices particularly in the areas of multi-agency, cross sector partnerships. Fieldwork was conducted with victims and offenders of hate crime, policy makers and experts to construct an evidence base that was used to:  publish original papers in voluntary sector, peer review  and international NGO publications; devise free training that was delivered to over 2000 individuals working on hate crime; inform and influence policy and practices nationally and internationally.
