Prison Walk 2011
This year's Prison Walks were a huge success so thank you to all of those students who took part!
Our teams in London walked over ten miles from HMP Brixton to HMP Pentonville before marching on to HMP Holloway, while students in the south west walked from Bristol to HMP Eastwood Park.
Students fundraised in teams of three before putting on their walking shoes and joined either the London or Bristol walk. Everyone who took part in this year’s walk is being invited to the Howard League summer wine reception at the House of Commons.
The team which raised the most sponsorship this year was from the University of Brighton. They received a personal toast of thanks from Lord Carlile at the event and were also given three free places at this year’s Community Sentences Cut Crime conference at the King’s Fund in London.
